'Ain't Hip to be Labelled
a Hippie' lyric video
This project originally began as a looping visualiser concept but evolved into a full lyric video. I began by creating a video treatment deck, pitching the idea of a stereotypical hippie camper van with colourful patterns and De La Soul's iconic illustrations animating on its surface.
The client was so pleased with the visualiser that they decided to expand the concept into a complete lyric video.
The camera zooms in and out of the camper van to seamlessly change the background to make it look like the van is driving all day and night.
The lyric video is currently featured on the De La Soul's official YouTube channel.
